Dave Ross

Dave Ross is a Miami-based artist with a focus on abstract expressionism.  In March 2024, he had a solo show - "Back to Free" - at Club Gallery in North Miami.  He also sits on the Board of the Fountainhead Residency (www.fountainheadarts.org) and is actively involved in the international arts community.

Artist Statement:

Life is beautiful.

Why complicate it?

Dance.

Life is movement - ups and downs, backs and forths, ins and outs, stretching and compressing, even moments of stillness are just a pause - a reminder of the vibrancy of movement.

Life is textured - smooth, gritty, oily, jagged, soft, hard, bumpy, silky.

Life is colorful - light, dark, bright, dim, green, pink, blue, light blue, dark blue, indigo, brown, yellow, magenta, and on and on

Art with color, texture, and movement moves me. Inspires me. So I create what I want to see - more life, more vibrancy, more fun, more color, more texture, more movement.  Always with music, having fun, and moving while I create.  When painting this way, you tap into the present and can flow, because this comes from the soul and is the essence of life.
