Denise Treizman is a Chilean-Israeli who lives and works in Miami, Florida. She creates sculptures and installation-based works combining found objects and ready-made materials with brightly colored, textural, and sometimes luminescent weavings. Treizman received an MFA from the School of Visual Arts (New York, New York), in 2013.
Selected solo exhibitions include “DelanceyLudlowRivingtonNorfolk” (2016) at Cuchifritos Gallery in New York, New York, “Hasta la Vista, Maybe” (2016) at Wave Hill’s Sunroom Project Space in the Bronx, New York and “In Between Living” (2021) at University Galleries of Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. She will be presenting her work in a solo exhibition at the Coral Springs Museum of Art (Coral Springs, FL) opening in January of 2024. Selected group exhibitions include “The Florida Prize in Contemporary Art Exhibition” (2023) at the Orlando Museum of Art, “Fibration” at L'SPACE Gallery (2023, New York, NY) and “The Bronx Calling: AIM 35 Biennial” at the Bronx Museum for the Arts in 2015. (Bronx, NY) Treizman has been awarded renowned artists residencies, among them: the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts Studio Program (2015-2019), Ox-Bow Residency (2014) Triangle Workshop (2015), MASS Moca Assets for the Artists Residency (2016) and Vermont Studio Center Residency (2013), where she was awarded the Robert Sterling Clark Foundation Fellowship for Latin American Artists. She is currently a resident at Laundromat Art Space in Miami, Florida.
